!Xu is a joint project between Yan Geat Cheng, Central St. Martins and Robert Allen, Goldsmiths College, London. !Xu creates tangible and intangible products.

!Xu's debut collection is a genderless and asexual experiment in masculine identity.
Through clashing unexpected fabric choices and gender specific detailing - Oma Tshirt, Varakh Hoodie - this collection attempts to subvert sartorial expectations of the contemporary male whilst subtly questioning the foundations by which clothing is employed to signify sex, character and status.
In a move to prompt new hybrids of expression through clothing, and by using 15th century Chinese eunuch mariner Zheng He as muse, this progressive collection forces the male wearer to the front-line of the contemporary gender arguments in our post-sexual era.

JIANGXI SACK COAT
Spearmint green waterproof  jacket with mandarin collar and Brazilian flag design neck buttons.  Inside facing and pockets in contrast blue and white checked jacquard fabric.  Front chest and waist hidden pockets with a velcro fastening.

Pink lace brocade cotton hot shorts with forest green linen waistband and pockets. Extra long belt loops.

MOMU SHIRT
 Yellow and white egg print silk pyjama style shirt with aged yellow glazed metal 1.5cm buttons down the front placket.  Cut loose with a narrow collar, front pocket and back pleat.
MAYA TROUSERS
Blue clean corduroy pants cut straight leg and cropped at the ankle. Back V gap on the waistband with an inside fringe detail. Inside pockets in Peach coloured cotton.

ERAZTUN SHIRT
Salmon colour jacquard with apple green chevron weave in classic cut shirt with short sleeves. Front elongated pocket detail and waist belt with loops and salmon 0.7cm buttons.
SPUMONE TROUSERS
Multi striped four colour trouser in pastel tangerine, mint, stone and beige colours placed asymmetrically with a 3cm panel down the side seam. Straight leg cutting slightly cropped at the ankle and two pockets on the back.
